MEET LUCIANO "LOU" PANICI, JR.

Lou Panici, Jr.'s commitment to his community extends beyond his role as a seasoned attorney; it is deeply ingrained in his identity as a South Suburbs native. Residing in Chicago Heights alongside his wife and two daughters, Lou's roots are firmly planted here where he hopes to serve as the next Judge for the 15th Subcircuit in Cook County.

 

With nearly 15 years of legal experience, Lou's professional career has been marked by an unwavering dedication to advocating for the rights and well-being of Chicago residents. 

His extensive experience and his adept handling of legal cases have made him a trusted figure within the community. 

 

Lou’s involvement goes beyond the courtroom, as he actively engages with the community, understanding firsthand the unique needs and challenges that residents encounter on a daily basis. 

 

Now, as he steps into the next chapter, Lou aims to bring his wealth of experience, dedication, and understanding to the forefront by running for the position of Judge for the 15th Subcircuit of Cook County. His decision to transition from a successful legal career to public service is driven by a desire to contribute even more significantly to the well-being of his community.

EXPERIENCE

2009 - PRESENT

Associate Attorney

THE LAW OFFICES OF DENNIS G. GIANOPOLUS, P.C.

Lou joined the Law Offices of Dennis G. Gianopolus, P.C., in 2009 as an associate attorney after having spent the previous three years as a legal assistant with the firm.

 

Initially, his practice was confined to matters of municipal law, including municipal prosecutions and defending municipalities in various forms of civil litigation.

 

While Lou does maintain a vibrant municipal practice, his daily practice has expanded to include concentrations in Criminal defense work and DUI/traffic related issues, Driver's License reinstatement hearings, Election matters, select plaintiff's personal injury cases, estate planning and residential real estate closings.  Lou is also a certified Administrative Hearing Officer and hears a variety of cases as the Hearing Officer in a multitude of South Suburban municipalities.

Lou currently serves on the Board of Directors of the South Suburban Bar Association, an organization dedicated to improving the condition of attorneys practicing in the south suburbs of Chicago. This organization awarded him a scholarship during his time as a law student and he is thrilled to be able to give back. 

He also maintains memberships with the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.

While attending law school, Lou pursued a course of study which emphasized criminal litigation as well business dealings and litigation. This course of study helped to lay the foundation for a well-rounded attorney who understands the intricacies that exist in a wide range of practice areas.
